Eurowings PPL(A) Services for Overseas Students

Our company, Eurowings Aviation & Consulting Ltd., is based in Athens, Greece and has been approved by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) to provide PPL(A) ground and flight training according to JAA/EASA regulations. Although we cooperate with Flight Training Organisations (FTOs) in Greece and abroad for training beyond the PPL level we are presently focusing on PPL(A) which consists the foundation for any professional pilot training and thus a very important stage in the training of any commercial/airline pilot.
We have our own 4-seater Cessna 172 Superhawk with a 180 engine and full Bendix King instrumentation enabling our students to be trained directly in a 4-seater airplane, thus  avoiding extra charges usually applied by other schools for conversion courses to those trained in 2 seaters.
Our services have been designed in a way to minimize the stay of our foreign students in Greece and consequently their travelling and accommodation expenses.

Αλλαγές στη Θεωρητική Εκπαίδευση για το Πτυχίο PPL(A) - Changes in Theoretical Knowledge Training for PPL(A) License

Πρόσφατα δημοσιεύτηκε ο νέος Κοινοτικός Κανονισμός 1178/2011 για την αδειοδότηση του ιπτάμενου προσωπικού πολιτικής αεροπορίας καθώς και η Απόφαση 2011/016/R της EASA για την εφαρμογή του. Ο παραπάνω Κανονισμός τροποποιήθηκε με τον Κανονισμό 290/2012 της 30ης Μαρτίου 2012.

Με βάση τα παραπάνω σημειώνονται αλλαγές στη διδακτέα ύλη των θεωρητικών μαθημάτων που αφορούν στο πτυχίο χειριστή ιδιωτικών αεροπλάνων PPL(A) σε σχέση με την ύλη που προβλέπονταν από τον παλαιότερο Κανονισμό JAR FCL 1. Βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη η προσπάθεια  από την Eurowings κωδικοποίησης των αλλαγών με τη μορφή συγκριτικού πίνακα για κάθε μάθημα που πιστεύουμε ότι θα βοηθήσει τους εκπαιδευόμενους στην κατανόηση των διαφορών και στην καλύτερη προετοιμασία τους για τις εξετάσεις της ΥΠΑ. New EU Regulation 1178/2011 and respective EASA Decision 2011/016/R have resulted in changes in the syllabus of theoretical knowledge subjects for PP(A) license compared to the that specified in JAR FCL 1. The above Regulation has been ammended by Regulation 290/2012 of March 30th 2012.
Eurowings currently attempts to highlight such changes in the form of a comparison table for each subject. We believe that this will help trainees to better understand changes and effectively prepare for their theory examinations.
